Less rotational weight and slim walls while still giving you the option to ride with or without brakes. I rode the Birdcage when they were first released and was concerned if they would be to light weight for my aggressive riding style at the time, they passed the test and held up to the biggest of gaps and rails.

Cette jante est dotée d'un talon large et épais pour réduire les risques de crevaison ou d'aplatissement de la jante, mais en même temps, la minuscule cavité creuse à l'intérieur de la jante permet de réduire le poids. La jante est également dotée d'un entrelacement croisé pour augmenter la résistance latérale de la roue, et d'un trou de valeur décalé pour aider à renforcer un point faible courant sur les jantes de style aérodynamique, ce qui facilite également l'installation d'une pompe sur la valve. Cette jante ne pèse que 408 g (14,4 oz), ce qui est supérieur à la plupart des jantes qui pèsent 20 à 30 % de plus, et le gain de poids dû à la masse rotative de la roue est fantastique.
