Troy Lee wurde mit einem Luft- und Raumfahrtschalen -Design und -material erbaut und konnte den D4 -Verbundhelm auf 1050 Gramm bringen, ohne irgendeine Stärke zu beeinträchtigen. MIPS (Multidirektional Impact Protection System) wird verwendet, um im Falle eines Sturzes eine zusätzliche Sicherheitsebene hinzuzufügen. Für den Komfort kühlt der D4 -Comp -Routes die Luft durch ein vorderes Lufteinlasssystem, das durch das Polymerzentrum fließt, und das Netznetz der Stromnetze während der Fahrt kühler. X-statische und XT2-Anti-Microbial/Anti-Odor-Polsterung halten das Innere des Helms ein viel schöner Ort.
