Costruito con un design a conchiglia aerospaziale e materiali, Troy Lee è stato in grado di ottenere il casco composito D4 a 1050 grammi senza sacrificare alcuna forza. MIPS (sistema di protezione a impatto multidirezionale) viene utilizzato per aggiungere un ulteriore livello di sicurezza in caso di caduta. Per il comfort, le rotte D4 per il raffreddamento dell'aria attraverso un sistema di aspirazione dell'aria anteriore che scorre attraverso il centro polimerico e la rete laterale della griglia di potenza mantenendo la testa più fresca durante la corsa. L'imbottitura antimicrobica/anti-odor X-statica e XT2 mantieni l'interno del casco un posto molto più bello.
